In September 2023, we were contacted by foreign customers from the Middle East, who first checked some references with existing customers.
We started the search for a large house with a swimming pool for them. At the end of November 2023, together we visited eight houses in two days. Because the market had little to offer at the time, the choice fell on a house that needed to be completely renovated, and a swimming pool also had to be constructed. On January 2024, an agreement was reached with the sellers, two sisters and a brother, but unfortunately the sellers themselves did not reach an agreement for the sale and the contract was only signed by two of the three sellers.
With the experience of the first visits in our pocket, we resumed the search and at the end of March 2024 we visited seven houses again. This time the choice fell on a house with a swimming pool that was immediately habitable. The house is within walking distance of the town center of the hillside town of Roccastrada in Tuscany.
The preliminary contract was signed on 14 April 2024 and the final contract with the notary was signed on July 3. In this case, the entire purchasing process took a total of 7-8 months. The swimming pool was opened at the end of August and in September the new owners were able to spend their first holiday in the house. The buyers have planned some minor changes to the house in the coming year. Have fun with your acquisition!
